Listed below is a small selection of earring styles I make:
Silver Fox Drop Earrings ~ Sterling Silver ~ SOLD on ETSY
These sterling silver earrings feature foxes that were sawed out by hand then soldered onto the handwrought hoops, and set on handwrought earwires. The hoops were given a high polish and the foxes a brushed finish for contrast. These might be my favouritest earrings I've ever made! They measure approx. 4 cm long (including hookwire) and 2 cm at widest point. (Piece without hookwires measures approx 3 cm long by 2 cm wide.)
Spiral Pattern Disc Earrings ~ Copper and Sterling Silver ~ $28 + HST
These pretty earrings feature a spiral design that I etched onto a copper sheet. I then sawed out two discs, gave them a slight dome for extra dimension and an antique patina to make the spirals stand out. They were finished with a jewellery grade lacquer to protect the finish. The discs measure just over 2 cm in diameter and are set on handwrought sterling silver hookwires.
Lightning Strike Studs ~ Sterling Silver ~ SOLD
These entirely handmade sterling silver lightning bolt studs are just
the right combination of conventional and edgy. Not too big or obvious,
just a little lightning bolt to let everybody know there's something
electric about you! They are given a brushed finish and measure approx. 1
cm tall and 1 /2 cm wide. They come complete with sterling silver
butterfly backings.
Willow Branch Hoop Earrings ~ Sterling Silver ~ $45 + HST
These earrings were fabricated from solid sterling silver castings from a
weeping willow branch that I cut off the tree in my back yard. They
were constructed as to not be exact replicas of each other as to better
reflect the dynamic nature of how tree branches grow! They were given an
antique patina to create some contrast and finished with a high polish.
These are a totally awesome take on a classic style of earring!
Earrings measure approx 3 cm in diameter.
Dangle Hoops ~ Sterling Silver ~ $30 + HST
These sterling silver earrings feature two sizes of interconnected hoops
which dangle from handwrought silver earwires. They measure approx. 5
1/2 cm long (including hookwire) and 1 1/2 cm wide. This is a versatile
earring that can be worn every day and when dressing up!
Red Copper w/ Leaf Imprint ~ Copper & Sterling Silver ~ SOLD on ETSY
Ok. To get a leaf imprint on copper, you have to anneal the metal first.
That means heating it up to red hot. By doing this, sometimes you get a
real nice orange-red patina on your copper. Normally I brush it off and
antique patina the veins of the leaf, but this time I just decided to
leave it. No pun intended :P Anyways, even though the red patina is a
permanent one, I gave the earrings a coat of jewellery grade lacquer
just because. I set them on a pair of hand-made sterling silver
hookwires. Earrings measure approx. 4 cm tall (including hookwires) and 2
cm at widest point.
Swallow Swoops ~ Sterling Silver ~ SOLD
This is another first edition pair of sterling silver earrings! They
feature little swallows in flight which have been sawed out by hand, and
then soldered onto some hand-wrought teardrop hoops and then set on my
handmade silver earwires. The hoops were given a high polish and the
swallows a brushed finish so they stand out. So cute! These earrings
measure approx. 4 cm tall (including hookwires) and 2 cm at widest
point.
Medium Hammered Hoops ~ Sterling Silver ~ $34 + HST
These sterling silver hoop earrings are completely handmade. The hoops
are 4mm wide, with a hammered texture. They were then given a final
polish and finished off with some handwrought silver hookwires. The
hoops measure approx. 3 1/4 cm in diameter, and have a nice feel when
they're in your ears. Totally classic.
Spiral Hoops ~ Sterling Silver ~ $28 + HST
These funky sterling silver earrings are hand-formed, hammered and given
a high polish. These earrings are a gauge larger than standard ear
posts to give them extra sturdiness. They measure approx 4 cm in
diameter.
Bubble Earrings ~ Sterling Silver ~ $25 + HST
Here's a pair of handwrought sterling silver earrings. The design was
stamped out by hand, then the piece was given a curve for extra dimesion
and finished with a high polish and a handmade silver hookwire. :)
